Studying infectious diseases in the Section on Infectious Diseases at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the Department of Biology at Wake Forest University. My research interests involve the detection, surveillance, and dynamics of new and emerging infectious diseases using mathematical and statistical models to improve public health. More specifically, I am particularly interested in the geospatial components of infectious diseases including the role of climate change, mobility patterns, evolution of contact patterns, and pathogen evolution; better understanding of delay distributions and infection ascertainment; and the role of modelling to rapidly inform public health measures.
